The Reason? HE IS TOO TALL!

A few days ago, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Alexander Volkov posted a somewhat disturbing video of Alexander Kimerov who was kicked out of the plane due to “disobeying” cabin rules.

So What Happened?

According to Volley Russia, Kimerov was not able to book a seat near the emergency exit. His assigned seat was too small for him knowing that he is 215cm (7ft). He then asked a lady who got his desired seat if she was willing to switch seats with her. The lady agreed but the flight attendant (FA) told them to go back to their original seats. Kimerov then told the FA that the lady sait it’s ok and that he’s willing to pay for any difference if he has to. Kimerov, who plays for Russian club team Fakel, explained to the FA that if he takes his original seat he would have to put his legs on the walkway.

Unfortunately, the conversation didn’t end well. Police had to be called and Alex was removed from the flight by police power.

The flight has delayed for almost an hour due to this incident.

Kimerov and some of his teammates took another flight and landed safely in Moscow.

Airline To Press Charges

Pobeda Airlines are working with their legal team and will file charges against Kimerov due to the delay that he caused. Elena Selivanova, a rep from the company, stated that switching seats is PROHIBITED by the airline and Kimerov’s behavior is unacceptable. She also added that he threatened the flight attendant. Due to the delay, the airline lost money so they would now want that money back my taking him to court.

The incident has been picked by several media outlets like The Sun and The Daily Mail.
