We’re very proud of Marie-Andrée Lessard for winning the 2011 Le défi des Champions aka The Challenge of Champions! It’s a reality show in Canada wherein the contestants perform acrobatic moves as if they’re in a circus. The performances include a trapeze, German wheel, bike freestyle hoop, juggling, aerial silks, hand to hand, bungee and many more!
We didn’t really know anything about Lessard until we found out that the beach volleyball player from Canada won the reality show. You can watch her routines by clicking THIS. Trust us when we say she’s FIERCE! Her routines are amazing! Watch the videos to believe us. So fun and entertaining! She makes splitting in the air so effortless!
Marie won $50,000 which she will use to fund her journey to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics with teammate Annie Martin. This is great! It’s really hard to find sponsors nowadays if you’re not a top ranked team like Misty and Kerri. This prize will for sure help Marie and Annie to compete around the world and earn points for their Olympic dream.
We think Marie just made history in the Volleyball World by becoming the first world class athlete to win a REALITY SHOW.
