Superliga Abolishes 21 Pt System

FINALLLYYYYYY!

According to a source that the Brazilian Superliga will NO LONGER use the 21 point system starting next season (2014/2015) and will go back to the 25 point scoring system.

Renato D’Avila from the Brazilian Federation (CBV):

“The 21-point system was a test in Superliga in this season and it was requested by the FIVB. For the next season, we will return to the old scoring system, unless the FIVB changes the rule set for all competitions in the world.”

It’s great to know one of the world’s best professional leagues is going back to 25.

The 21 point system was just too short for us. Not too many exciting moments because most sets and matches ended quickly. Also, a lot of players, coaches and fans did NOT like it at all.

Any Thoughts?
