We thought things were ok in the lives of Giba and Cristina post-divorce but apparently not.

In a recent interview released by Globo, the 2012 Olympic silver medalist reveals that he is not financially stable after his divorce was finalized. He can’t spend any of his money until the divorce is completely finalized (with lots of legal and attorney fees).

The part which hurts the most is the sad fact that Cristina has reportedly banned him from seeing his 2 kids. According to our other source, Giba last saw his kids over a month ago.

Professionally, he is also struggling because he doesn’t have a team yet for the 2013/2014 season. After a short stint in the Argentinian League last season with Bolivar, Giba is searching for a team willing to pay a lot of money to hire him.

At 36, it looks like it’s going to be a tough mission to find a team unless he lowers his asking price.

It breaks our heart that our idol is living a tough life at the moment. Hang in there Giba! Things will be ok. Our grandma always tells us that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.

Time to control the damage! Giba’s camp has finally released this statement in response to the very serious accusations of his soon to be ex-wife.

He’s pretty much confirming the SAD fact that he and Cristina have ENDED their marriage and he’s no longer going to speak publicly about the crisis his family is facing. His main goal at the moment is to protect his kids, Nicoll and Patrick, from the media circus.

Good decision Giba but you should’ve thought about your kids first before you cheated.

The Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie of Volleywood are DIVORCING!

This can’t be! Volleywood’s Most Powerful Couple have called it quits after 9 years of marriage blessed with 2 beautiful kids, Nicoll (7) and Patrick (3).

We are heartbroken upon hearing this news.

Brazilain website, UOL.COM, reports that Cristina Pirv, a former player of the Romanian National Team, is filing for divorce due to Giba’s infidelity, too much partying and alcohol problems. She posted this on her Instagram which was eventually deleted:

“A maior DECEPÇÃO da minha vida…meu ex marido @giba7oficial…hj meu casamento ACABOU!!!!!! Agradeço Deus por ter me mostrado sempre q eu não quis ver…A verdade!!!!!! (sic)”

It looks like Pirv was deceived by Giba and that she’s happy their marriage is ending because she could not take it anymore. Dang! It looks like it’s going to be a bitter divorce.

“For some time our goals in life as husband and wife have changed. My life is always about the family, the children and about the marriage while Giba lives a single life like a bachelor spending his time always going out to party and drink. It’s not working out anymore because we want different things so I decided to leave.” says Cristina.

The most shocking revelation from Cristina is that Giba has been cheating on her for more than 4 years. Sources say that the homewrecker woman’s name is Margarida and who is Buenos Aires also where Giba is currently playing for Bolivar Volley. One rumor says Cristina and Giba’s mistress crossed paths while the former was picking her kids from school in Buenos Aires.

We totally missed the catfight! Kidding!

As for their children, they are currently with Cristina. Custody of the kids is unknown as of press time but will most likely be decided during divorce proceedings. As for Giba, the 4 time Olympian and one of the most idolized players within the last decade remains QUIET on Pirv’s accusations.

Hang in there Cristina! It’s going to be a stressful time for you but be strong for your kids. They need you more than anything.

Giba, you better call us! We need to talk Mr. Bad Boy!
