Mari Is Injured

Brazilian outside hitter, Mari, is reportedly injured with a pulled abdominal muscle. Coach Guimaraes was forced to replace her with Garay in the 3rd set against Italy B Team last night. According to our source, she will not play against Japan tonight and will undergo a medical exam to determine if she can play against USA tomorrow.

We’re not sure how Brazil would do against Japan and USA. She is Brazil’s strongest outside hitter right now but at the same time Fernanda Garay has performed great whenever she’s on the court.

All we can say is she can’t get injured again especially not now during the Final Round.
