Team West Dominated!
Before anything else, we’d like to take this opportunity to say that Vadim Hamuttskih is one rare volleyball talent and a legendary player. He’s so inspiring to watch!
The 6th edition of the All Star Game was held at the “Cosmos” sports hall in Belgorod was won by Team West in straight sets (30-28, 25-21, 25-20) against Team East. Team West was led by German opposite hitter, Jochen Schops, with 12 points while the losing team put on a fight via the heavy hitting arm of Pavel Moroz (17 pts).
The roster for both teams were voted by fans. Some last minute changes were made due to the health of some players like Muserskiy & Taras Khtei who were eventually replaced.
Team West Roster: Kuleshov, Hamuttskih, Kosarev, Sherbinin, Schops, Tetyukhin, Verbov, Ermakov (l), Depestel, Yakovlev, Tatarintsev, Busel, Abramov, Lee, Voros, Head Coach Shipulin.
Team East Roster: Shulepov, Todorov, Mikhailov, Biryukov, Apalikov, Butko, Sokolov (l), Rodichev, Moroz , Ushakov, Kazako, Tuia, Ball, Head Coach Alekno.
