HOW RUDE!
Poland did a great job hosting the World Championship and fans supported the tournament from Day 1 until the very end. Spiri should get used to the fact that wherever you are, some fans can end up being hostile and getting booed is part of every sport.
According to this article released by zenit-kazan.com, the Russian outside hitter and 2013 European Champion was not too happy on how he and his team were treated by some Polish fans.
“When we were at restaurants, everything was fine.
When we were inside the hall for our matches, fans were screaming at us with all kinds of insults. I always thought that Poles were normal people. When I was here with Ural Ufa (former Russian club team), everything was fine.
But now I realized that the Poles are rotten people (zgniły naród).”
As for the spitting incident, Spiri denies it and even adds that he’d rather PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE FACE.
The next time Spiri returns to Poland, we hope things will be different.
Any Thoughts?
