The World Championship Crown is like THE only title missing from Brazil’s collection.
In an interview released by the FIVB, Coach Guimaraes shares his thoughts about the upcoming quadrennial tourney:
“After a dream year in 2013 and a tenth victory in the World Grand Prix, it goes without saying that we will be striving to finally get our hands on this title.”
When asked on Brazil’s toughest rival, Coach ZRG obviously names Russia aka the team who has defeated them in 2006 and 2010.
“Russia is difficult every time. They are very talented.”
He also took time to thank his staff for helping Brazil won its 10th Grand Prix Crown over the weekend.
“From the start of the Finals, when we lost to Turkey, it has been difficult. After that loss, we recovered little by little and were finally able to win our tenth World Grand Prix. I want to thank my team and my staff, we won under a lot of pressure.”
Seriously, we can’t wait for another Brazil vs Russia match at the World Championship.
Gamova is back and she’s been very vocal about feeling insulted with Coach ZRG’s comments on her return.
