The drama continues…
The FIVB has decided to star collecting evidence against Coach Rezende in regards to his actions and words where he publicly criticized the FIVB.
FIVB President Ary Graça has released this statement and published by globoesporte.com:
O tribunal vai julgar diante do relatório do delegado.
Translation: The statute and the code of FIVB are clear. You can’t speak under any circumstances against the FIVB, especially in public. Right now we are collecting evidence and after that he will be prosecuted if proven guilty.
If Rezende is guilty, we wonder how the FIVB will punish him. Suspension? Fine?
We hope it all ends on a good note.
Thoughts?

The FIVB has fined Coach Bernardinho Rezende and team captain Bruno Rezende after FAILING to attend the press conference from their match last September 16th versus Poland which they lost.
Each will pay $1,000.
E alguém me viu? – disse.”
He’s saying that there have been a few incidents in the past when the coach and the team captain failed to attend the press conference BUT the FIVB did not do anything. Rezende also denies the report that he pulled a middle finger towards a journalist after the match.
September 17th
If this is true, then it’s very unprofessional Coach.
Coach Rezende and Team Brazil were a NO SHOW at the press conference after losing to Poland in a heartbreaking 5 set match. Brazil aka the defending world champions will now have to beat Russia later today for a chance to qualify in the Final 4.
A witness tells Volleywood:
“Coach Rezende was in a very bad mood after losing to Poland. There was one journalist who was cheering for Poland in Rezende’s face and the coach didn’t like it. He flipped the bird and then left.
He was also a now show at the press conference. He did the same thing during the 2014 FIVB World League.
His attitude is very unprofessional and the FIVB should penalize him.”
Even before the Final 6 started, Coach Rezende complained on Brazil’s schedule especially on how in the world did Brazil end up with Russia and Poland in one pool while the other group has France, Germany and Iran.
In an interview released by globoesporte.globo.com:
“This is a mess. I don’t know how it is possible to have two 2nd placed teams in one Pool. It’s just irregular and it is wrong. Also, I think that the competition formula is not good. For example, we will play two games in two days, while Poland will have a day off.
But, that can’t be an alibi for us. We have to play the best we can. It is wrong, but it is what it is.”
If Brazil loses to Russia, no doubt Coach Rezende has more to say.
Stay tuned…
Before we forget, Lucarelli has also told the media that Polish players started to provoke them and the match was getting nasty because the attitude showed by the hosting team.
No wonder Kubiak got a red card (forward the video to 5:55) .
