Ouch!
Sadly, Viktor’s journey with Bulgaria at the FIVB World Championship has ended due to this injury. He reportedly broke his fifth metatarsal bone and he already had surgery the other day.
Prior to this injury, Viktor was Bulgaria’s best blocker. He was the 27th Best Blocker of the tournament after Round 1 which consisted of 5 matches.
Recovery will take a few months.
Viktor joins The Injured List for the World Championship which consists of Ivan Zaytsev (sprained ankle and considered serious), Bruno Rezende (broken finger and considered minor) and Jenia Grebennikov (injured hand/finger but considered minor)
