After losing to Italy in straight sets and versus USA the other day, Australia has been eliminated from the World League Finals together with Russia.
Despite the result, team captain Aidan Zingel remains optimistic for his team.
“It’s all positive for us, being here.
The real highlight of our season was winning the games to finish top of pool B and getting to the final six. We showed here that we can compete with the best teams. We are at a high level.
We have great attackers, but today we struggled on reception. But we will bring a positive attitude into the World Championships.”
Australia is definitely a team on the rise and we can’t wait to see what Aidan and The Volleyroos have in store for us at the World Champs.
