Knowing that Russia had a terrible 2015 season, Coach Alekno did some trimming and now reveals his preliminary roster for the European Olympic Qualification Tourney next month in Germany.
Missing on the list are 2012 Olympic champion Alexander Butko and the infamous Alexey Spiridonov.
Alekno’s list includes the legendary Sergey Tetyukhin, Dmitriy Muserskiy, Sergey Grabnkin and Maxim Mikhaylov.

The final roster will only have 14 players.
The winner of the European Olympic Qualification Tourney qualifies for the 2016 Olympics. The 2nd and 3rd ranked teams will advance to the World Olympic Qualification Tourney in May and will be hosted by Japan.
