Ivan Zaytsev finally opens up about his thoughts and feelings towards Earvin Ngapeth and the French team after their 3 set win yesterday in their first Olympic pool play match.
In an article released by ivolleymagazine.it, Ivan seems like he is tired of reading and listening how great Team Yavbou is.
“Il 3-0 non è venuto da solo ci eravamo convinti di poterli battere nettamente come avevamo fatto. Volevamo prenderci la rivincita per le ultime due partite contro di loro in cui avevamo perso, in cui non avevano fatto mancare le risatine e le provocazioni alla francese. Quello che fanno quando vincono e ci prendono per il c… . Io credo che tutto questo si sia visto. In più ci metti che era la prima partita delle Olimpiadi. Portiamo a casa un bel 3-0, ma non ci montiamo la testa assolutamente. Quello che abbiamo fatto oggi non è altro che far capire a loro che ci siamo stancati a sentir dire: “che bello il gioco alla francese, che bello Ngapeth… loro come squadra sono forti, hanno vinto la World League, hanno vinto l’Europeo, ma quello che valiamo lo abbiamo dimostrato a noi stessi con un bel 30. E sono contento per questo.”
