2 time Olympic champions Sheilla Castro and Fabiana Claudino have announced their retirement from the National Team right after losing a heartbreaking quarterfinal match against China.
“I am sad. I did not want to quit the national team in this way.” -Sheilla.
“This is my last year in the national team and I wanted to win a medal.” -Fabiana.
In this article released by Globo, Sheilla also reveals she wanted to retire in 2014 but Coach Ze asked her to stay until Rio. Regardless of the outcome and how she ended her career after 14 years with the National Team, Sheilla has no regrets.
