2004 Olympics: Russia vs China

This is by far one of our favorite Olympic volleyball moments! We totally got teary eyed when Chinese players started hugging each other and crying at the same time as they celebrated the victory they truly deserved!

In all fairness to Russia, they had a chance to win the gold after winning the first 2 sets. Just like what happened to them in Sydney against Cuba, they lost focus and couldn’t manage to win the next 2 sets and eventually lost the Olympic gold medal.

We wish Artamonova wasn’t injured in Athens. She could’ve helped Sokolova and Gamova who were doing most of the attacking.

Anyways, the 2012 London Olympics is just 152 days away.

We’re so excited!
