Naz Leaves Fenerbahce

It’s been a tough week for Fenerbahce…

After getting excluded in the 2012/2013 edition of the Champions League where are they are the defending champions, Fenerbahce suffers another blow. Their longtime setter and one of their precious angels, Naz Aydemir, has left the team. After 3 successful seasons with Fenerbahce, the 21 year old setter posted this statement on her official site last May 21st:

SAYGIDEĞER FENERBAHÇE KAMUOYUNA

Dün, 21-Mayıs-2012 günü kulüp binamızda yaptığım görüşme sonucunda, önümüzdeki sezon itibariyle, aranızda olamayacağımı sayın şube yetkililerine ilettim.
Üç yıl önce “BOŞ SÖZLEŞMEYE” imza atarak, bugüne kadar fırsat verildikçe gururla hizmet ettiğim kulübümden, benden kaynaklanmayan nedenlerle ayrılma kararımı vermek, hiç de kolay olmadı.

En derin saygılarımla,

Naz Aydemir

TO THE HONORABLE FENERBAHÇE SOCIETY

After a meeting with the club managers in our Club yesterday, May 21 2012, I’ve informed the club responsibles that I will not be able to be with you starting next season.
Having arrived here three years ago signing a “BLANK CONTRACT”, and having served my club at every given opportunity, it has not been easy for me to make this decision to leave my club.

With my greatest regards and respect,

Naz Aydemir

We’re really sad that Naz has left but above all we know a bigger and better season is waiting for her. Rumor has it she will play for Vakifbank, 2010/2011 Champions League winner.

We wish you the BEST Naz!

On the other hand, Fenerbahce might play at the 2012/2013 CEV Cup with a completely new team. Players from the previous season like Logan Tom, Sokolova, Fabiana and Kim Yeon Koung have reportedly left the team as well.

Watch This: Naz and the Yellow Angels’ play for gold in the final match of the 2011/2012 Champions League vs RC Cannes.
