The Dominicana made her Rabita Baku and Champions League debut last November 22nd, 2012 versus Polish club team Atom Trefl Sopot. Brenda and team defeated the Polish squad in 4 sets (25-11, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21) to lead their pool undefeated with 2 more Preliminary Rounds to go.

Surprise!

The first player (?) from the Dominican Republic to play in Azerbaijan!

2012 Olympian, Brenda Castillo, is reportedly going to play for the #1 team in Azerbaijan, Rabita Baku. The 20 year old will show off her amazing libero skills together with Germany’s Angelina Grun, 2012 Olympic silver medalist Foluke Akinradewo, Puerto Rico’s Aury Cruz and Colombiana Madelaynne Montaño.

Aside from competing in the Azeri League, Brenda and Team are also in the prestigious Champions League.

She is expected to arrive in the next few days.
