After playing for Galatasaray last season, Rosir heads to Russia and will play for Dinamo Krasnodar together with Russian superstar Lioubov Sokolova.
In a press release, Krasnodar’s CEO and former indoor player Ruslan Olichver said that Rosir’s contract is for 3 years. He also mentioned that he sees a strong possibility that she will become a Russian citizen and the Russian National Team is keeping an eye on her.
“The coaching staff leaves the door open for Calderon as soon as she becomes a naturalized player of Russia.” according to Olichver.

Rosir’s former teammate, Aguero, took the same path and played for Italy up to the 2008 Olympics. In men’s volleyball, Cuban turned Italian Osmany Juantorena reportedly got the invite to play for Italy but turned down the offer due to conflict with Italian players and for personal reasons.
Knowing that the 28 year old Calderon is still one of the world’s best players, for sure any team would want to have her.
