Last Wednesday (August 20th), this tragedy happened in Hiroshima, Japan:
To pay tribute to all those who have died and affected, Saori Kimura, Miyu Nagaoka, Yuko Sano, Risa Shinnabe, Haruka Miyashita and Team Japan added this “black” print under the Japanese flag on their jerseys since August 22nd as they compete in the ongoing FIVB World Grand Prix.
In case you didn’t know, Japan is on track to win gold or silver and is guaranteed to win their FIRST MEDAL in the Grand Prix after participating in the annual event for 22 years. Japan’s previous best was 4th in the 1994, 1997 and 2013 editions.
