We are sad that these great players will not be playing in Japan for the 2010 World Champs which kicks off this Friday. We really wanted to see Paula, Mari, Spicer, Costagrande and Calderon but due to several reasons we’d be missing them.
Anyways, here are some of the world’s best players who will be MISSING IN ACTION at Worlds:
1. Calderon (Cub): Not in the best shape after her maternity leave.
2. Paula (Bra): She didn’t recover in time. Coach brought Gattaz instead so she can update her Facebook. Kidding!
3. Spicer (USA): Coach McCutcheon chose Berg instead maybe for experience.
4. Stam (Ned): Recovering from back injury and too pretty to play.
5. Mambru (Dom Rep): On medical leave due to thrombosis. Feel better girlfriend!
6. Kano (Jpn): Not in the best shape to play. We honestly don’t remember her playing for Japan.
7. Mari (Bra): Recovering from knee surgery.
8. Skowronska (Pol): Internal drama with coach and Anna Baranska.
9. Harmotto (USA): Already in Italy to be with her club team. We honestly prefer Harmotto over dinking queen Tamas.
10. Costagrande (Ita): She accepted the invite to play but withdrew a couple of weeks ago since she doesn’t like Piccinini she’s not in the best shape.
11. Rui (Chn): Recovering from a left shoulder surgery. On a side note, Zhou Suhong is back on the team!
12. Glass (USA): Not in the best shape to play although she really did her best but failed to improve her passing impress the coach.
13. Merlo (Ita): Recovering from an ankle surgery and spends a lot of time fixing her hair.
14. Dijersilo (Srb): Conflict with coach. Sad.
15. Barazza (Ita): Pregnant. Motherhood over Volleyball!
16. Guiggi (Ita): Coach Barbolini sent her home crying after evaluating that she’s not in the best shape yet.
