Hooker Is Injured

January 23rd UPDATE: As we previously reported, Hooker returned to the US to seek treatment for her injury. According to her, she is scheduled to return to Brazil this Thursday.

UPDATE: Destinee Hooker has posted this message on her page: “não acredite em tudo que você ouve. especialmente a partir de Bruno. Eu estou bem e estamos ansiosos para jogar com Sollys Nestlé. Esta lesão é menor. Eu amo todos vocês obrigado por ser fãs leais. :)”

American opposite hitter and Volleywood’s Best Opposite Hitter of 2011, Destinee Hooker, has INJURED her right hand.

According to our UOL (a popular news agency in Brazil), Hooker is expected to rest for 1 month.

“We will periodically evaluate the injury…I think the outcome will be good. We did tests to see if there was any ligament damage, but had no problem beyond the bone” according to Sollys Osasco’s team doctor Fruges Thiago Ferreira. Destinee went several tests which included a CAT scan, an MRI and a CT scan. In the meantime, Hooker is recovering with a pin (?) and she’s advised to rest.

Our source says that Des and her boyfriend got into a fight over the phone. She then punched a table in her apartment and ended up injuring her right hand. She posted some tweets on her Twitter account about her injury which suggested that a fracture was found.

The tweet was eventually deleted.

Maybe this post on her Facebook page has something to do with what happened? This is an out of the blue confession.

Just wondering.

We actually thought her boyfriend was with her in Brazil since he traveled with her after the Holidays. Just to make it clear, hey boyfriend DID NOT hurt her. We’re also a bit confused on that post we mentioned above and this news that we’ve read.

Anyways…

Destinee might return to the US to undergo some tests but from what Osasco said she’d be staying in Brazil. It’s unfortunate a phone conversation with her man ended up in such fate.Destinee is a strong woman and we know she can count on her fans no  matter what!
