Brazilian middle blocker and 2012 Olympic silver medalist is now the HIGHEST PAID player in the Brazilian volleyball league aka Superliga. The 27 year old Lucão has signed on to play for Sesi SP next season after winning the 2012/2013 Brazilian League with RJX.

Sesi is paying him R$1.8 million (USD$888,757) for 2 seasons.

“Lucas is not just a talented athlete but he’s also a team player and a warrior on the court. These are the qualities Sesi needs for next season and it’s the reason why they’ve offered him such amount.” says a source.

Other top earners in the 2013/2014 season are Bruno Rezende, Dante Amaral, Sidao, Wallace De Souza and Sergio.

With this salary, no doubt Sesi expect a lot from Lucas to lead the team winning the 2013/2014 Superliga!
