Brazilian middle blocker, Thaisa Menezes, has reportedly deleted her account after posting some not-so-nice tweets pertaining to her teammate, Karine. The 2008 Olympic gold medalist reportedly tweeted “we have to pray for Fabiola to come back soon” & “it’s f*cking hard” after losing to Volei Futuro in 5 sets over the weekend wherein Thaisa wasn’t set that much by Karine.
We wonder where she learned “how to diss your teammate on Twitter”? Hmmmmm…
Anyways, the best part is that Thaisa has APOLOGIZED to Karine and both players are ok now.
With Fabiola’s injury, Thaisa and her teammates need to guide Karine knowing she is not that experienced yet. We think she’s got good hands and that she has the intensity. Setting at the 2011 Club World Championship gave Karine the chance to show her skills. For someone as young as her, she was impressive.
Also, losing is part of the game. You can’t blame a teammate when you lose. You win together and also lose together.
