It’s no secret that Turkish club team Fenerbahce has so much and love and respect for the Korean superstar.
Last weekend, the MVP of the 2012 Olympics Kim Yeon Koung made history by dethroning Croatian Natasa Leto Osmokrovic (81 matches) as Fenerbahce’s Female Foreign Player with the MOST club appearances.
Kim has represented Fenerbahce in 82 matches as of December 14th, 2013.
Take note, the season is just halfway done. Kim and Fenerbahce are competing in the CEV Cup to go with their quest in the Turkish League.
Congrats Kim! At such a young age, you are a LEGEND indeed!
In case you didn’t know, Fenerbahce’s has hired some of the world’s best female players. This season they have Brazil’s Fernanda Garay, France’s Christina Bauer and USA’s Alisha Glass.
Previous foreign players include Logan Tom (USA), Lioubov Sokolova (RUS), Lindsey Berg (USA), Mari Steinbrecher (BRA), Paula Pequeno (BRA), Kasia Skowronska (POL), Fofao (BRA), Christiane Fürst (GER) and Ekaterina Gamova (RUS).
