She’s definitely worth it!
Source says that Saori Kimura‘s 1 year contract with Vakifbank is worth around €840,000.00 (US$1,124,340) which makes her Saori as the highest paid Japanese volleyball player. Vakifbank has declined to comment on this information but our source adds that the biggest stars of volleyball playing in Europe make about €500,000 to €1,000,000 per season.
Vakifbank is one of the richest club teams this season so we’re not surprised they can afford to pay that much money for Saori, who is the only Olympic medalist on the team this season.
The Turkish club team is also the most star studded team this season with Turkey’s Naz Aydemir & Sonsirma Gozde, Poland”s Maggie Glinka, Germany’s Christiane Furst and Serbian superstar Jovana Brakocevic. With this lineup, we wonder how much is their budget for this year.
Back to Saori…
Some might not agree but Saori is not having a good season so far playing in the Turkish League and the prestigious Champions League.
She is somewhat struggling with her reception and offense BUT we can only hope she can get better in time for the upcoming crucial matches in both leagues. As a matter of fact, Coach Guidetti did not include her in the starting 6 during the Champions League Playoff Match the other day.
Saori fans say that she is still trying to adapt the European style of play and so she needs one more season to get better.
We can only hope! Hah!
Come on Saori! We know you can play better than this!
