This is why we love her.
Two weekends ago,American Setter, Nellie Spicer, was in Houston, Texas to hold a free clinic for girls ages 7 – 18. We asked Nellie to share about her memorable experience and this is what she said:
“I recently held a free clinic in Houston for girls ages 7 – 18. We had a great turnout of about 100 fun girls though out the day and had an absolute blast. The girls that came out worked really hard, came to learn and obviously love the sport of volleyball. I couldn’t help but think back to myself at that age – always trying to do whatever I could to get better! The amazing staff working the camp was great to work with as well.
Overall, it was a quick day trip to Houston that reminded me why I love playing volleyball and how grateful I am to be able to play this game and share my love for it with others!”

The hours you spent with these kids who dream to become great volleyball players one day really touched our hearts. To spend time with an athlete like you was such an honor for them and it’ll forever remain that way.

In case you didn’t know, Spicer signed a one year contract with Azerbaijan club team and league champion, Rabita Baku, for the upcoming professional season. Spicer and Rabita will compete in 3 tournaments: The Azeri League, Champions League and the World Club Championship in Doha, Qatar.
