We totally agree! Regardless if you’re 8, 30, 40, 50, 60 or 85 years old, you can still play volleyball for sure.
Air Force Village West in Riverside, California hosted a successful water volleyball event last June 15th whose participants are from various senior communities. To prove that age doesn’t really matter in volleyball, they even had team called The Marauders whose players are into their 90s.
Awesome!
“Volleyball gets you moving around, it’s good for your balance, it’s good for many different things, particularly to keep the ticker going. None of us think we’re old; that’s the last thing on our minds.” said Bill Kelley who is 80 years old and a retired chief warrant officer. Water volleyball is their more exciting alternative to water aerobics. Great choice!
This is one of the most inspiring parts:
“I have people that are basically crippled walking, but in the water they are running.” according to Anderson-Kushi who co-founded the activity with Kelley a couple of years ago.
Seriously, this news made our day. We invite you to read the Full Article by clicking THIS.
We love the sport so much that we already picture ourselves playing it when we’re in our 70s, 80s and even in our 90s.
