We’re with you Ruth! F*CK CANCER! Don’t let it win!
Kenyan volleyball player, Ruth Jepng’etich, is back on the volleyball court after an almost year long battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymhoma (NHL), a type of cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes which are part of the body system.
Ruth’s treatment was funded by by the Kenya Pipeline Company.
“I am now feeling well. I am happy, very happy. I want to thank all the fans, family, friends and Kenya Pipeline management for all the support. I didn’t believe I could have cancer. It was a difficult period and it is only by the grace of God that I am healed. Now I am working to regain my fitness. I have been doing gym work since January.” -Ruth
Ruth’s last major FIVB tournament was at the 2015 FIVB World Cup where she finished the tourney as the 6th best blocker.
