As expected, the legendary spiker from Cuba, Mireya Luis, tops the list but the list does NOT includes any Brazilian player despite of their volleyball success in the last decade.
Surprisingly, 3 American players who have not played for the National Team namely Brittnee Cooper, Lauren Barfield and Brittney Brimmage are ranked higher than the athletic Olympic silver medalists Foluke Akinradewo and Destinee Hooker.
There’s only 1 Russian on the list and she us Elena Vassilevskia, the setter. LOL! Just Kidding!

(Source: TheUSAFan from Inside-Volley.com/ Source’s Disclaimer: Well of course the number would change with age! That doesn’t mean numbers aren’t reliable. They may not be what the athlete touches throughout their career but I think it’s indicative of how great of an athlete some of these women are. You also have to take into account a spike touch and an in match spike are two very different things. Someone like Fabiana, who probably gets higher than 314 off of one foot doesn’t look like she’d be a great spike test performer. The information seems accurate to me in that the athletes with the highest touches are generally phenomenal athletes.)
