Volleyball athletes are on a publicity roll!
More than a month ago, USA women’s national team were featured on ESPN’s Body Issue. Despite some controversies, the naked images of Nellie Spicer, Destinee Hooker, Megan Hodge, Alisha Glass, Heather Bown, Cynthia Barboza and Stacy Sykora made headlines on sport websites which gave volleyball a much needed publicity.
Now comes Misty May’s turn to take over!
The 3 time Olympic gold medalist joins Wheaties to promote it’s popular slogan “The Breakfast of Champions”. In American culture, this is a prestigious achievement for prominent world class athletes just like Misty May who has officially retired from beach volleyball after the 2012 Olympics.
