Greatness Pays Off.
The Serbian Volleyball Federation has awarded its men’s team with €20,000 (US$28,858) after winning the BRONZE medal at the 2010 World Championship. The richer lucky recipients are: Nikola Grbić, Bojan Janić, Nikola Kovačević, Ivan Miljković, Miloš Nikić, Vlada Petković, Borislav Petrović, Marko Podraščanin, Milan Rašić, Nikola Rosić, Dragan Stanković, Saša Starović, Marko Samardžić i Miloš Terzić.
We think Serbia has a bright future ahead of them. They are one of the most technically gifted teams in the world. With Nikola Grbic retiring from the squad, there’s no doubt we’re going to see another great setter from Serbia in the near future.
He hasn’t officially announced it but we think Ivan Miljkovic has also retired from the sport. After 12 years of representing Serbia (formerly known as Yugoslavia) with an Olympic Gold, we think the Great Miljkovic will follow Grbic’s decision.
Janic, Kovacevic, Podrascanin, Starovic and new the generation of Serbian players have what it takes to continue their success.
