UPDATE: A few days ago, a short but very special ceremony was held during one of the matches in the Chinese League to honor Feng as she officially bids goodbye to volleyball.
We hope she still gets involved with the sport. Maybe she can coach? assistant coach? For someone as great and legendary like Feng Kun, no doubt she will always have a special place in the Volleyball World.
We will miss you Feng and we wish you the best!
Cheers!

What Would China Do Now that Feng Has Retired?
Just when we started thinking of her to come back to the Chinese team so she could guide the young players, she announced her retirement.
Why Feng? Why?
After playing more than 350 matches for China, the 2004 Olympic gold medalist and MVP has decided to rest her volleyball laurels for good. This announcement is really shocking to us because we really thought and prayed to the volleyball gods to convince the 32 year old to rejoin China and help them qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
Remember this?
With how China is playing at the moment, they seriously need a veteran to glue them together and guide them.
Anyways, Feng will forever remain as one of the best setters our generation has ever seen. We’re going to miss her on the court but we’re optimistic she’d still be very much involved in the volleyball world.
Best Wishes Feng!
