Another awesome Christmas present for Jovana Brakocevic and Aleksandar Atanasijević after being selected as Serbia’s Best Volleyball Players of 2013 by the Serbian Volleyball Federation. The Federation also awarded Tijana Bošković (Partizan Vizura) and Filip Stoilović (Crvena zvezda as The Best Young Volleyball Players of 2013 plus Milena Matić and Marko Galešev as Serbia’s Best Beach Volleyball Players of the Year.
The ceremony was also attended by 2000 Olympic Champions Vladimir Grbic and Andrija Geric.

The world’s best tennis player Novak Djokovic has nominated Aleksandar Atanasijević to win Serbia’s most prestigious award, ie Best Athlete of 2013. Alek tweeted this yesterday to thank the tennis superstar.

The Serbian men’s volleyball team have been awarded the male team award at the Serbian Olympic Committee annual awards.
Igor Kolakovic’s team won bronze at this year’s CEV European Championships and they will receive their award on December 23 at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.It completes a good year for Serbia’s men and their younger counterparts won silver at the inaugural FIVB U23 World Championships.
