UPDATE: BVF says this report about moving the Final Round to Serbia is bull crap. As a matter of fact, the $500,000 will be paid by July 1st while the other half by the end of the Final Round.

Bulgaria is slowly becoming the capital of volleyball drama lately…
Sportal.bg has reported that the FIVB will most likely move the Final Round of the 2012 World League to Serbia if the Bulgarian Federation fails to pay $500,000 by July 1st.
That’s a lot of $$$!
If this report is indeed true, then Bulgaria’s Sport of Ministry has pretty much 9 days to pay the amount they owe. Clock is ticking! Better hurry up BVF President Lazarov and team! With all the drama circulating around the men’s national team since the departure of Stoytchev and Kaziyski from the squad it looks like the problems will never end for BUL.
On the other hand, we commend Serbia for offering to host the Final Round.
Also, we feel sorry for those volleyball fans who have bought plane tickets and booked their hotel in Sofia if this change of host and venue happen to be true.
Let’s stay tuned for more DRAMA updates.
