After USA failed to make it to the Final 4 of the 2018 FIVB World Championship, their fans started to throw in some names that should be invited to play for the national team. One of the top names that came out was 2014 World Champion Nicole Fawcett.
Volleywood decided to reach out to Nicole & asked if there’s any chance she’d rejoin the national team. Her response:
“I always told myself I would be done after 2016. I really appreciate the support from the fans, but for me, I’m enjoying the home life in the off-season and im excited for what the current girls in USA are going to do in future. It’s really easy sometimes to forget that this is a team sport and it’s important for the fans to support these girls on this current team.”
In case you didn’t know, the opposite spiker is currently playing in the Brazilian League this season with Dentil Praia.
