She is still NOT 100%.
Two time Olympic champion Thaisa Menezes has finally touched a volleyball 100 days after her knee surgery. The Brazilian middle blocker is now back on the court for some physical training hoping that she’d recover in time to play for her club team, Osasco, and get back to 100% just in time for the 2016 Olympics.
She tells Globo:
“So far, I trained alone.
I miss laughing with my teammates. It’s been stressful.
I am only about 20% ready at the moment. At least I’m relieved a little because it was all physiotherapy before. The contact with the ball also gives me relief but I still have that feeling of wanting to attack, block.
I need to be patient.”
Patience is a virtue Thaisa!
We can’t for your return on the court.
