S H O C K I N G!
We can’t BELIEVE that one of the world’s best liberos and 2014 World Grand Prix MVP, Yuko Sano, has QUIT from Team Japan and will NOT play at the 2014 FIVB Women’s World Championship later this month in Italy.
“Yuko Sano is TIRED.” says a source.
We have received inside information that Sano’s main reason why she quit the team is because of her age.
Insidre shares…
“She is 35 and Coach Manabe’s training system plus all the traveling are too much for her body.
Take note, she retired after the 2012 Olympics but rejoined the team because Manabe didn’t have a reliable libero for all competitions after the London Olympics. Coach Manabe reportedly started training for the World Champs right after Japan won the silver medal at the Grand Prix which ended a few weeks ago.
Her body can’t take it anymore.
However, Yuko strongly wishes her teammates the best.”
In case you didn’t know, Japan won the bronze medal at the 2010 World Championship.
Japan’s Roster:
Setters: Hitomi Nakamichi, Haruka Miyashita
Opposite Hitters: Yukiko Ebata, Yuki Ishii
Outside Hitters: Saori Kimura, Risa Shinnabe, Mami Uchiseto, Arisa Takada
Middle Blockers: Mai Yamaguchi, Kana Ohno
Hybrid Middle Blockers: Miyu Nagaoka, Mizuho Ishida, Saori Sakoda

From this 15 player roster, 1 player wil be cut.
Of course, Japan will use the HYBRID SYSTEM using mainly those “Hybrid Middle Blockers”.
