Firenze, Italy, 21 June, 2015 – Despite loud cheers for “Azzurri” from the home crowd, Brazil defeated Italy 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-16) at the FIVB World League on Sunday.

Iran vs USA

Tehran, Iran, June 19, 2015 – Shahram Mahmoudi scored 17 points to lead Iran to a 3-0 (25-19, 29-27, 25-20 victory over the previously unbeaten USA who were no match for the home side. The win opens the door for Poland to move level on points with the USA in Pool B, whilst Iran will go into the remaining fixtures with hope of taking second place.

Italy vs Brazil

Roma, Italy, June 19, 2015 – Italy proved strong nerves to overpower Brazil in a inspiring five-setter 3-2 (26-24, 21-25, 25-18, 17-25, 16-14). 20 points scored by Wallace and Lucarelli did not help the visting team.

USA vs Poland

Hoffman Estates, USA, June 13, 2015 – Aaron Russell fired 20 points to guide USA in their 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-17) victory over Poland at the Sear’s Centre Arena on Saturday, and pick up their sixth victory in Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball World League.

Brazil vs Australia

Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, June 7, 2015 – Lucarelli scored twenty points to take FIVB Volleyball World League Pool A leaders Brazil to victory over Australia at a packed Ginasio Poliesportivo Adib Moyses Dib in São Bernardo do Campo on Sunday. The win means Brazil currently top Pool A with 11 points, ahead of Italy, Serbia and Australia. Their opponents today are yet to win in this year’s edition of the World League.
